| We've added new programs and participants including: | | Salons. This annual series offers in-depth conversations with leading scientists, extending the discussion of the Festival's premier public programs to graduate students, postdocs, faculty and well-informed members of the general public. This year the topics we'll be exploring include: the cutting-edge technology that aims to raise intelligence and beat depression, tackling dark energy to see what it can tell us, getting the latest on quantum cryptography, and more. Apprentice Programs. Sign the kids up for small, hands-on workshops with enthusiastic scientists who'll let them learn by doing. From nanoscience to neuroscience, from computer labs to DNA labs, kids will conduct experiments similar to those scientists do daily in their jobs. At more than a dozen locations scattered around New York, young apprentices will learn about coding, spot sunspots through telescopes, search for seahorses in the Hudson, and so much more! Be sure to check out these new programs and the full Festival lineup while tickets are still available, as many programs have already sold out. Please consider adding a tax-deductible contribution to the price of your ticket to keep the Festival accessible to everyone. If you can't attend this year, but would still like to help support the Festival and our year-round programs, please visit WorldScienceFestival.com/support for donation opportunities. |
